Gang Gang Tours We offer intimate small group extended tours of regional Australia for seniors, departing Canberra. That’s us!

Gang-gang:// gregarious and charismatic migratory cockatoo found in the mountains and coastal areas of south east Australia. We are a husband and wife team, who have worked and played in the Snowy Mountains and on the Sapphire Coast of New South Wales, since last century! We love where we live, so we decided to combine our life experience, with our passion for travel, nature the outdoors, to devel

op tours designed to showcase the best that the region has to offer! Here's a quick bio of us:

Janine has lived and worked in tourist towns for all of her adult life and has always worked in tourism, hospitality or customer service. She has been a tour guide in Queensland, British Columbia Canada, and Kosciuszko National Park. She also managed tourist accommodation for ten years. Janine has a degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies and is qualified in Remote Area First Aid. Jeff is a carpenter and mountain guide, and was a wintering carpenter and expeditioner in Antarctica in 2003. He also spent several years hiking and touring in the Canadian Rockies and West Coast Mountains of British Columbia, and is qualified in Remote Area First Aid. Well, our first ever 'show tour' was short but sweet, and the consensus was that the tour was great, and the show was enjoyable and 'intense'! It was a great little tour going up to Sydney and back by train in first class, and enjoying both dinner and breakfast at the fabulous Capitol Hotel, right next to the theatre. Here's to some more show tours next year....
This was our last tour for 2024, and we are looking forward to getting back on the road on 28 February for our East Coast Tassie adventure! We will be thinking of you all over the festive season, and we are looking forward to seeing on board next year.

Last week we embarked on our signature tour - the Snowy Mountains Hydro Majestic - which tours the assets of the Snowy Mountains Hydro Electric Scheme while travelling through the majestic Kosciuszko National Park. The highlights are too numerous to list here, but the photos below show some of the beautiful places we visited and some of the shenanigans we got up to!

Well, our B.E.S.T - Beechworth Echuca Silo Tour - certainly lived up to its name! We started with a brand new water tank mural at Murrumbateman made just for us! We then went on to see lots of fabulous artworks on our way through Wagga, Echuca, Benalla and Beechworth. Combined with some extra experiences like a cruise in a paddle steamer on The Murray River, some great historical town tours in the gold mining towns of Echuca and Beechworth, yummy food, and a stop at the National Pottery Museum in Holbrook on the way home, made it an action-packed and enjoyable 7 days...

And then, on 3 November, we had our 4 day Kiama Kaper tour which happened to coincide with Melbourne Cup Day at the Cronulla RSL (note several of our guests looking extra fabulous in their fascinators)! We had lots of other adventures including Port Kembla Steelworks, the Royal National Park and the Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk. An action packed few days enjoyed by all!

Last month we had the pleasure of riding the Zig Zag Railway in Lithgow and our visit happened to coincide with the Lithgow Halloween Festival! We also enjoyed a visit to the Gang Gang Gallery (of course!), Eskbank House, Portland Painted Silos and Hassans Walls lookout. All in all, a great trip!

Last month we had a fabulous 5 day tour to the beautiful Sapphire Coast NSW in whale watching season! We visited national parks including Green Cape Lightstation, ate local seafood at some fantastic locations, visited art galleries, learned all about the killer whales of Eden, enjoyed the sublime coastal scenery, and of course saw lots of whales. This tour is running again on 15 September next year, so if you're interested, please let us know.

Our Mystery Tour to Brisbane was a roaring success, full of sunshine and surprises! A botanic gardens tour, the (ferris) Wheel of Brisbane, a night time ghost and crime tour, a cruise to lunch and dinner under the spectacular Storey Bridge. Our guests certainly got into the spirit of things with masquerade masks to surprise us (!) and Yvonne even volunteered to tap the keg at the Breakfast Creek Hotel! It was a great getaway from a Canberra winter, and we're already planning next year's warm and welcoming mystery tour! Who's game?!

It was definitely bright and sparkly, glitzy and glamourous! Our Vivid Sydney tours were quite the experience with a sunset harbour dinner cruise, a trip up the Parramatta River, and a tour of the Opera House. The consensus seems to be that the highlight was dinner at the Opera House while watching the Harbour Bridge light up. Just fabulous. We're having a wee hiatus now, but will see our guests again soon for our Mystery Tour, then Sapphire Coast. We still have a few seats available on our Zig Zag Railway Tour and our Snowy Mountains Tour. So get in touch if you need another getaway!

Well, Autumn was upon us and we thought we would head into the Victorian High Country (twice!) to enjoy the spectacular Autumn colours in Bright and all that the surrounding high country has to offer. Our 5 day tour also took us 'over the top' on the Great Alpine Road past Mt Hotham which was just magnificent. Considering our fondness for the Snowy River, we also stayed a night in Marlo at the mouth of the Snowy. We will be running a 6 day Victorian High Country tour next year on 1 May, so please get in touch if you would like to join us.

Well it had been a long time between drinks - 3 months between tours - so we were quite excited to get back on the road again with our lovely guests! We kicked off the year with a short but sweet 3 day Zig Zag Railway Lithgow tour. A ride on the Zig Zag Railway, a visit to Eskbank House and the Small Arms Factory, Portland painted silos and some drinks and nibbles at the Gang Gang Gallery.

We are running this tour again on 25 October, so if you're interested, we'd love to hear from you.

So now we're pumped for Lord Howe Island next week, then lots more fun touring this year and into next.... We hope to see you on board soon..
