The South Australia's History Festival has started!

Our local event "The decisions that improved health around Encounter Bay" recalls the conditions that impacted the health and wellbeing of the early settlers and later generations living around Encounter Bay.
Come and hear about the decisions individuals, health care providers, local Councils and the State made to improve health and wellbeing through the early 20th century. The event involves a talk in the museum followed by an optional short walk to sites of interest.
Dates:
Saturday 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st May 1-2pm,
Sunday 11th, 18th, 25th May, 11-12am.

Just over a week to go to the start of South Australia's History Festival!

Our local event "The decisions that improved health around Encounter Bay" recalls the conditions that impacted the health and wellbeing of the early settlers and later generations living around Encounter Bay.

Delighted to be joined on the Victor Harbor Walking Tours -Stories of whaling, early European settlers and shipwrecks, by direct New Zealand descendent of Capt Blekinsopp.

Capt Blenkinsopp oversaw one of the 19th century whaling stations based at Encounter Bay. He also guided Capt Crozier on the HMS Victor into the Bay.
