The search is on for budding songwriters and music producers to join a new music industry mentoring program touring regional NSW this summer. The SongMakers Summer Sessions are part of the Office for Regional Youth Holiday Break program in partnership with APRA AMCOS and Create NSW.

Keen locals aged 16 - 21 are invited to apply to be part of a free, two-day workshop in each of six targeted regions, where they will write songs, record and learn about music industry careers from some of Australia's most exciting hitmakers.

Amid a surge in local property prices, TAFE NSW Wagga Wagga has launched a Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice, the minimum required qualification to gain a real estate agent certificate of registration.

A TAFE NSW graduate and Riverina Aboriginal Health Worker has claimed a prestigious training award and spoken candidly about her wrestle with a learning disorder in a bid to offer hope to others.

Jenna Weymouth, a TAFE NSW Wagga Wagga graduate and Aboriginal Health Practitioner with Murrumbidgee Local Health District, was this month awarded the ATSI Student of the Year at the Riverina Training Awards.

The Statement of Attainment in Accidental Counselling, a one-day course delivered by virtual classroom, offers basic counselling skills to residents who are not trained mental health professionals but often find themselves thrust into a “de facto counselling” role by friends, family, colleagues or clients.

Australians care about farm animals. Three out of four people agree that when eating at a restaurant or café, it’s important that the meat, eggs and dairy products served, come from animals farmed in a humane and ethical way.

The RSPCA's Choose Wisely initiative makes it easy to find venues that source food from higher welfare farming systems, such as cage-free eggs. In Wagga Wagga there's a number of eating spots now listed too.
