The original Qantas “Double Sunrise” flights operated from Australia to Sri Lanka during WWII.

The flights took over 30 hours nonstop, operated in radio silence to avoid detection, carried only a few passengers, and travellers even received a certificate after witnessing two sunrises during the journey.
