Update Half lap WA - NT
Hi everyone, we are 6500kms into our 13,000km half lap.
Since last update, we have eco glamped at Karajini, in the Pilbara, the dingos howling at night and the morning, it was freezing through the night but electric blankets made it cosy. We had a tour through Rio Tinto mine in Tom Price, huge and I think after Kalgoorlie, Perth - all the head office skyscrapers, the Pilbara and Pt Hedland, the massive 4 trailer trucks and the largest privately owned rail network in the World, our guests are realising just how big this WA mining really is. We have visited the beautiful Eighty mile Beach, and some iconic roadhouses.
Now we are in Broome, Pearl capital of Australia and ever so remote, nothing much in either direction for approx 700kms. It’s lovely and we enjoyed learning all about the Pearling history today. Stunning Cable beach sunset tonight followed by delicious 3 course dinner at Cable Beach Club formerly Zander’s. Tomorrow is a free day, some are doing Horizontal falls, it will be amazing 🤩
The Courthouse markets are also on 😊
Till next update enjoy the photos

Ps if you would like to escape Winter why not join us on our other Winter Warmer SE Qld see brochure at the end of photos.

Well we are in Karajini Eco Glamping.
I’m laying in bed with the electric blanket on low and thought I’d share some pictures from today, from Karratha to Millstream Chichester to Tom Price to Karajini all in the spectacular Pilbara. Trains up to 224 carriages long, weighing up to 31,000 tonnes, automated taking up to 2 kms to stop. The Country is at its finest, healthy bush and trees, spinifex and even some flowers.
Tomorrow another day of Pilbara adventures 😍

Hi from Karratha 🙋‍♀️
Since Perth we have travelled along the Coast - Cervantes, Geraldton HMAS SYDNEY memorial incredible - Hamelin Pool Telegraph Station, Shell Beach then Shark bay lookout then WAs most Westerly town the lovely Denham then Carnarvon with a visit to the Space Centre. Next Exmouth with a Coral semi submersible boat over the Ningaloo reef, which was teaming with life!
Now we are in Karratha and the start of the Hammersley Ranges and Pilbara.
We have just done an induction into Rio Tinto railway access rd for tomorrow.
I hope our guests will be blown away with the Pilbara, it is a special place.

Omg this is wrong on so many levels… Research teams, Rod, you could teach them, after all these years, the Whales even wake you up, outside your home. They know the Asherah
If they stop you it’s an absolute travesty, your knowledge and respect for the Whales goes above and beyond, let alone your passion. I cannot believe this however on another level I can. 🤦‍♀️

Love and support to Rod and Simone

Day 3 of 42 day WA NT half lap of Australia.
So to Update lovely group who are slowly getting to know each other, so far we travelled our beautiful Eyre Peninsula coast, We had a yummy lunch at Port Kenny Hotel, Elliston clifftop drive, Murphys haystacks, Streaky Bay then Ceduna for the night.
Next morning we made our way up to Head of Bight Whale centre, signs read 0 Whales (not surprising as really early in season)
Head of Bight is so special and spectacular so that didn’t matter, the Whales are a bonus however, low and behold there was a whale 🐳 Bonus indeed. Next the iconic Nullarbor roadhouse for our picnic lunches.
Then a stop at the lookout - for a stunning view of the Bunda Cliffs.
We crossed the border and asked if they had seen a walker raising awareness for MND (Matt & Cara had met him walking on Flinders Highway at Wangary a couple of weeks ago and they asked us to lookout for him, see last post 😊
We had the night at Madura Pass before continuing very early this morning. We had stops at Caiguna, Balladonia, Norseman for our picnic lunch followed by a trip up to the lookout, then onto Kambalda then Kalgoorlie. We took our guests straight to the SuperPit, the heart of Kalgoorlie, it is incredible and photos can never do it justice. We are now here for 2 nights, I’ll check back in probably in Perth 😊

About us and our Services

Hi There, we are a Husband and Wife Team - Kim and David Pierce, we started out with 2 school buses in 2003 and have grown into Chartering, Cruise Ship Shore Tours, Crew changes, long distance charters, weddings a multitude of different areas, another side to our business are our extended Tours that depart Pt Lincoln and Adelaide for such destinations as Kangaroo Island, Tasmania, Canberra Floriade, Mildura Country Music Festival, Tasmania, Northern Territory and our Whale Watching Tours to the head of the Bight, I hostess our Tours and David drives as well as helping with everything! We love our touring and I am pleased to say, our guests love touring with us, we believe in old fashioned care and just want our guests to have the best time possible as word of mouth advertising is the best form of advertising. Being owner operators we put a lot of effort into the care of our guests and we have many inclusions that you will not find elsewhere, some premium experiences and we try and make it so you are not constantly putting your hand in your pocket to pay, most meals and all entry’s and tours and shows are included in the tour price.

We can put a tour together for your group fully hosted with commentary on our spectacular Eyre Peninsula or even an entire itinerary or perhaps some advice for timings, destinations for anyone having a wedding or event or conference. If you have a group that would like to go on a long distance trip, tell us your desired destination, interests and budget and let us arrange everything for you.

We employ several drivers and Tour Guides who are all great, you will find the whole team friendly, informative, helpful and safe. Our drivers hold the appropriate licenses and accreditations and we hold all the appropriate accreditations and insurances.
