I've just returned from the TravelManagers National Conference in Hobart, and I'm still buzzing.
This year's theme was Connection, and it ran through everything, from the stories shared on stage to the friendships strengthened over three big days. Hearing fellow Personal Travel Managers speak was such a great source of inspiration, and I've already got ideas from them I can't wait to bring into my own business.
We also had some brilliant guest speakers who gave us plenty to sit with. Day one opened with keynote speaker Lisa O'Neill, who spoke on the energy we bring to every interaction, and day three closed with Doctor Kylie Moore-Gilbert and Cheng Lei, who spoke about the resilience they found through connection during incredibly difficult circumstances. It was a reminder never to take our freedom, our health, our families, or our ability to travel, and come home again, for granted.
It wasn't all business. Between a trade show full of supplier updates, a waterfront function overlooking Hobart, a charity race around the city for a good cause, and a Country and Western costume party with a live band, there was plenty of fun mixed in with the learning. We even finished off with a glamorous Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony followed by a silent disco.
Three days in, and I've come home reminded why I love being part of this network. A huge thank you to all my clients for your continued support of my business, it truly means the world.
You've got someone in your corner.
