The reviews continue, this time from my recent guests from Singapore. Sometimes I meet guests I feel I have known for years & this was very much so. On this day - May 21 - in 2000, the Willaston Uniting Church (originally Wesleyan) church held its closing service - led by the Rev. Nellie van Dyk. The service was also celebrated the 133rd anniversary of the church (the order of service for this event is part of our collection.

This photo of the Willaston church dates from prior to 1927 (according to the information on the back of the photo), but that is all we know about it. The exact date and photographer are unknown.

Thank you to all who called & messaged me this weekend & those who acknowledged my previous post with emojis & notes. A vast array from past guests, to business associates, local & afar advocates & supporters. It is all very much appreciated, being the greatest decade of my life both personally & professionally. So, so many experiences & learnings in this time & another promise I made kept. David would be incredibly proud that his encouragement to start my dream & continue our business would see it rise n' shine brightly. 💙 Mum would be the same, albeit she never quite understood that a former church could be a home, bless, but she cheered & supported me in every step regardless & came to love its part in my life. 💜
'Keep going girl' I was asked to do ... so with that I am sending out good energy, happy vibes & a whole bunch of well wishes into the Universe, to land where they are needed. That's what the world needs more of ... peace, light & love. Blessings from me & the 'TC' & thankyou again.

💒Happy 10th Anniversary to me & .🎂🥂🎉
💒10years since we launched my guest home business online on 25 April 2016.👏
💒OMG, I could write an entertaining book about our life & times of 16years together!
💒A start up business in 2016, our wedding venue shortly after & my Mum's 100th birthday celebration in 2022.
💒Over 3,800 guests have booked & stayed. Just an amazing storybook!
💒We have navigated the global pandemic, tough economies & the demands of our industry.
💒We have celebrated, reminisced, memorialised, met & greeted, rang the bell, sung on high, danced like noone was watching, refurbished, housekept, donated, sponsored, supported, promoted ... & the verbs roll on!
💒We won a SATC award in 2024 & it was projected onto every screen at The Adelaide Oval. I floated high & proud that night!
💒It has held me up through my toughest bereavements, managing 2 other businesses & making my greatest life decisions.
