HUMANS OF THE LIVERPOOL PLAINS
Meet Aleesha Krichauff, a Station Hand at Windy Station on the Liverpool Plains. She's originally from Adelaide, and has been living here for 18 months to expand on her experience in the Agriculture industry. See the Liverpool Plains through her eyes...
Where should people stop for coffee on their trip to the Liverpool Plains?
I would pick The Plains Pantry in Willow Tree. They have great coffee and snacks, especially their caramel slice.
Hidden gem spot on the Liverpool Plains?
The Porcupine Lookout in Gunnedah would be a hidden gem; you have a 360 degree view of the plains taking in every detail of the beautiful country.
What's your local business recommendation?
I would recommend Unique Rustique in Quirindi. They have lovely knick-knacks for your home and some beautiful paintings.
You've got a day to spend on the Liverpool Plains. What do you do?
I’d start the morning with breakfast at The Plains Pantry, and then go for a drive looking at all of the farming land and mountains. I would make my way up to Gunnedah and have lunch at the Railway Hotel for a yummy feed with friends, then make my way back to Windy Station on the back roads.
Why do you love the Liverpool Plains?
The Liverpool Plains is filled with amazing people, food and places. My favourite thing about the Liverpool Plains is the flat country surrounded by breathtaking mountains that make you feel like you’re in a painting.
