Guests on tour enjoyed some of the Top End’s best sights this trip 🌿☀️ From the ancient rock art at Burrungkuy (Nourlangie Rock) and the stunning upper pools at Edith Falls, to the lookouts along the Upper Pool Loop Walk, every stop delivered something special.

Sunset over Nitmiluk Gorge never disappoints, while icons like Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls showed off the wild beauty of the Territory. Finished off with a cruisy drive out to Moline Rockhole and a visit from some Red Tail Black Cockatoos!

Kakadu National Park has six seasons, recognised by Traditional Owners and based on thousands of years of local knowledge. These seasons are marked by subtle changes in weather, plants, animals, and bush foods.

Right now, we are coming to the end of the wet season, particularly Banggrreng — the Storm Season. During this time, rainclouds clear and blue skies return, floodwaters recede, and streams run clear. It’s also a harvest period, with plants fruiting and animals caring for their young. Early in Banggrreng, strong “knock-’em-down” storms flatten the tall speargrass that grew during the monsoon. 🌿⛈️

This week, our guide Annie took guests to one of Kakadu’s best kept secrets, Ikoymarrwa aka Moline Rockhole!

Lower Ikoymarrwa Falls (Moline Rockhole) is a shady, freshwater swimming spot, perfect for a refreshing dip during the early dry season (April to June) when the falls are still flowing. Bring snorkel gear to spot fish and, if you’re lucky, a pig-nosed turtle (warradjan).
