Yackandandah is a village in NE Victoria bursting with heritage that looks towards the future

Yackandandah is situated in the rolling hills of North East Victoria, approximately 290km from Melbourne and an easy detour off the Hume Highway. With around 700 people calling Yackandandah home, Yackandandah is not a typical tourist town. Rather it is a village that celebrates its past, while it looks towards it future. The local gold field history is written on the face of the village, with a heritage listed main street scape hosting a variety of cafes & bakeries, galleries & artists studios, pubs, thrift shops, antique shops, hairdressers, newsagent, real estate agent and clothes boutiques, banks and a supermarket catering to both the local community and visitors alike. Those choosing to stay for a night or two are well rested after a great night in a choice of motel, caravan park or B&B accommodtion.
