Huge congrats to our great mate and manager Lizzie Nunn on being awarded Life Membership of Surfing Western Australia on the weekend, joining an illustrious club of West Aussie surfing legends in the process. Lizzie has been an incredible ambassador for women’s surfing in this state since the 1990s, from her own competitive days through to running surf schools with best friend (and our neighbour!) Crystal Simpson, and encouraging young women everywhere to follow their own paths and chase their surfing dreams, no matter what society at the time might have suggested.

This post will embarrass the hell out of our pal Elizabeth but we couldn’t care less, you deserve every bit of recognition and we’re bloody proud of ya. Cheers Lizzie!

Ps. Was pretty special to see you, Crystal, and three-quarters of your kids fan out over fellow-inspiration Layne Beachley a few weeks back. How good is surfing!
