3 nights at Yandanooka. Stargazing and relaxing. Nothing exciting happening except the girls screamed for me as they got "attacked" by 3 big dogs that wanted to play with them! So I played with the dogs, big friendly creatures. Jeez the girls scare easily! Ok I must admit, the dogs were bigger then my wife. But nice.

After getting some skin cancer removed from my chest we were finally on the road again! 25 days in CMCA Park Boyup Brook..... too cold for me! Had to stay close to Perth for results. All good. A bit around a warm camp fire having happy hour warmed us up a bit.

Day 23. . Left Southern Cross to drive the 290k to my friends block in Toodyay. Stopped in Merredin hotel at 11.45am to have lunch and watch the Melbourne Cup. Seafood Basket $14.95 was ok. Left after the race and had a short stop at the Ettamogah Pub for some pictures. Continued on and got RBT'ed at Tammin as our friends in blue don't like to have too much fun on Melbourne Cup day as they have to work. I think I got cleared after a Coke Zero!!! Continued on my way, parked up the van and spend a lovely dinner with our friend. So for now we are at the end of this trip! Heading to Perth with the truck only and will annoy my other friend for a while till I know what happens with my knee operation. To be continued!

Day 22. Cross Railway Tavern. After a 355k drive from Norseman we arrived at Southern Cross. Parked opposite the Tavern. Had a sate pizza there for dinner, lots of cheese and chicken on it. Nice people. Retired early. Woke up the next morning with a text from the hospital that the wanted a "face to face" meeting on thursday! Ok, better hurry to Toodyay then to park the van at my friends place!

Day 21. WA. Left Cocklebiddy nice and early, stopped at the 90 mile straight road sign for some pics then continued the 439km trip to Norseman. Nice freecamp in town, set up and decided to go and support the pub after we heard such great things about it. So I walk in the pub and ask this "non Australian" guy behind the bar what's on special today! He replies very rude: "Nothing, next you want me to give things for free"! Well ordered a beer and a softie and sat at the bar. So I thought maybe he was on his period or something so I ordered another beer with the Asian girl, who was on her phone the whole time, behind the bar. Asked her what they're doing for Melbourne Cup! Her reply was: "We sell tickets" and walked away! OK, tickets! For what? Anyway, decided to stop spending money there and returned to the camp site and drank my own beer and cooked a nice rump steak our selfs. Their loss! will support IGA and the petrol station though.

Day 20 Big Van Turn Around. Left the windy spot nice and early. Hit Bordertown just before WA where the roo stands. Dumped rubbish etc and got checked for fruit and vegies before entering WA. Traveled 2.5 hours back in time. Fueled up at Eucla as it was 37 c. cheaper there! Got at this campsite, walked around a bit and foun a Shimani fishing rod and real! Bonus.
