We had a small window between group retreats and a rather ambitious plan!

It’s been all hands on deck to give our Community Room a makeover. It feels so beautifully fresh—what a difference a few days and a lot of paint can make.

How am I so blessed? My friend Meghan made us dinner from the spinach harvest yesterday. This was hands down the best risotto I have ever tasted!

By the way, Meghan does the catering for events at Lavendale. ☺️

One of my favourite parts of our days here is hearing people tell us how much they love the changes we’ve made.

It’s not a pride thing. We just genuinely put so much thought and love into the spaces we’re creating for you.

I’ve been wondering why it feels so meaningful to see children visiting Lavendale discover where food comes from.

Perhaps it’s grounded in connection—to the land, to nature, and to the understanding that we’re all part of a living ecosystem. It’s an idea that becomes easier to grasp when children experience it for themselves.

This reflects our hope for Lavendale—to be a soft place to land, where you can slow down and reconnect amongst nature.

What happened to screen time?

Somewhere between building Lego on the verandah, playing a game and heading off to explore, the kids forgot to ask for it. It’s something we’ve noticed that parents tell us often about their stay at Lavendale.

Our lovely old ram is always first in line for a head scratch.

It makes us happy to see the 2 week old twins becoming more used to us day by day. This is the closest they’ve come so far.
