One of the highlights of our first three months here has been our grandchildren helping us start to restore the veggie patch.

Being nourished by the work of our own hands, with the hands of nature - and being present as the kids make these connections in their own ways.

Here we are planting coriander seeds and spinach seedlings, generously shared with us by a neighbour from their garden. I can’t wait for them to see how well these will grow over spring. ☺️

Meghan has been one of our biggest supporters since we moved to town— she even delivers freshly prepared meals here for our guests! 🙏🏽

Love antiques, vintage finds and one-of-a-kind treasures?

York’s Mid Winter Antique and Collectors Fair is on this weekend at York Town Hall.

Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August.

With the canola fields also at their peak, it’s a beautiful weekend to visit York.

And if you’d like to stop a while, we still have a couple of cottage options available. 🌿

Was that a flash of alarm I just saw in Steve’s eyes? 😂

We’re coming back and forth to Perth for a few days to pack up our house, which settles shortly.

So naturally, at 9pm on Thursday night, I decided to UNpack a couple of boxes of painting gear and start something new. 🤷‍♀️

Sometimes, taking a little time to care for yourself isn’t negotiable.

I’m curious to see what I can create with an odd assortment of things I’ve found around the house…

Leftover wallpaper samples, a few paints and, apparently, only kids’ paintbrushes. 😂

Because, inconveniently, ripping up paper and making a creative mess is my idea of self-care. 😂
