Instead of just biting up and down, their lower jaw rotates in a wide, circular pattern. This intense grinding action breaks down hay and tough desert plants to making them much easier to digest! 🌿
These guys a perfecting adapted living in the desert.

💁‍♀️Today marks 166 years since explorers Burke & Wills began there trek North with the help of some incredible four-legged pioneers: 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐒 🐪🐪🐪
📍On August 20, 1860, explorers Burke & Wills departed Royal Park, in Melbourne on what was to be one Australia’s most famous expedition. But the real stars of the show were the 26 imported camels, specially brought over from India to tackle the harsh, waterless conditions of inland Australia.
Today, we remember the incredible endurance of these resilient animals that forever changed outback exploration.

Izzy visited the camel farm yesterday with her family to enjoy our Sunset Camel experience. 🐪
Izzy had the greatest time on our tour with Doc the camel and Cameleer Ellie.
