This is a great article about the township of Kulara that was flooded to create Tinaroo dam. It is believed the cottage was one of the buildings saved from Kulara and relocated into Yungaburra .

Once a thriving community with local dances at the hall, social cricket games, and afternoon drinks at the town's hotel, just stumps remain of the buildings and the township of Kulara, now fully submerged under the Tinaroo Dam.

The end of an era ! The cottage is under contract and due to settle before Xmas.
The new owners are not planning on running the cottage as a holiday rental ):
Thankyou to everyone who stayed over the past 15 years and supported my little side hustle.
I have met many fantastic guests from all over the world, some staying several times, who i now count as friends.
Everyone knows i have loved this little house and spent many , many hours gardening, cleaning, painting and maintaining it over the years.
With the arrival of grandkids I need to find more time , so sadly the cottage has had to go . ( i have a real job that i have worked all these years also )
We had several interested buyers and have sold to people who we are sure will be the best fit to love and care for the cottage.
( They will be cursed if they cut down my golden showers tree though ! )

It is with a heavy heart that i post this .............. My beloved little holiday cottage is now officially up for sale !
I now need to use my time to be a super Nanni to my three beautiful young grandbabies.
Time to be there for my aging parents, who live far away .
Time to be a more helpful friend , workmate , neighbor and spouse.
I would love to see the cottage that i have poured many years of love into go to a great new owner .
Thank you to the past guests that have already made contact with the realtor.
Fingers crossed it sells to someone who already loves it and will continue to make it available as an Air B&B for others to enjoy making memories in.
My promise to any potential buyer is to support you and offer any advice or assistance you may require for the ongoing success of my beloved cottage.
Of course, i will be extra excited if the new owner is a keen gardener !
I do live locally and am happy to offer any gardening advice needed.

Wow! What a festival! 🎷🪘🎺🎻 The fun, the friends, the MUSIC!! From breathtakingly beautiful, jaw-droppingly amazing, laugh-out-loud funny, rousing & relevant and get-up-and-dance rhythms, we got to experience it all.😍
The exceptional program was a credit to the talented & generous performers, the hard-working sound crews and to our Bronwyn, who put it all together. We hope you had a fantastic weekend and come back again next year for more. 🎶
