August on Sydney’s Northern Beaches is pure magic. 💛
The golden wattles are bursting into bloom across our national parks, painting the bush in vibrant shades of gold. As Australia’s national floral emblem, their arrival is a beautiful sign that winter is beginning to give way to spring.
For the Garigal people, the Traditional Custodians of much of Sydney’s Northern Beaches, the changing seasons have always been read through the rhythms of Country. At this time of year, the annual humpback whale migration is another spectacular reminder of those seasonal cycles.
Whether you’re wandering through the bush surrounded by golden blooms or standing on a headland watching humpbacks pass by, this is one of the most spectacular times of year to experience the Northern Beaches.
