Meet the Aruban Whiptail Lizard – also known locally as cododo, blausana or Blóbló. 🇦🇼 This dazzling blue reptile is unique to Aruba and one of the fastest lizards on Earth – reaching speeds up to 30 km/h! 🦎💨

Males stand out with their electric blue heads, legs, and tails – especially during mating season in September and October. Meanwhile, females and juveniles wear earthy tones with elegant stripes and blue “eye spots.” 👀

What makes them extra special? They’re mostly herbivores, feeding on flowers, nectar, leaves, and fruits. Their smart diet avoids toxic plants and even includes the occasional pebble or p**p – nature’s little recyclers!
