Discover for yourself the treasures of Baku’s ancient Old City (İçərişəhər). This tour will help you get acquainted with the history that began in the 5th century, the most historical sights of Baku – Maiden Tower, the Palace of Shirvanshahs, the mosques and minarets, caravanserais and public bathes. You will meet its most photogenic and friendly residents, the community cats, who laze about the streets waiting for your good head scratch. Our professional and friendly guide will tell you about rich history of the oriental side of Baku and show you the places that were used as scenes for many Soviet films.

A unique source of pride and a witness to the land of fire’s rich 40 000 year old history!
– “Aşur Məscidi” (Ashur Mosque) (12th century) – named aſter the architect of the mosque. It is also known as “Ləzgi Məscidi” (Lezgin Mosque).

– “Cümə Məscidi” (Juma Mosque). Juma means Friday which is the holy day for all Moslems. The mosque belongs to 12th century and was was built on the site of an ancient temple of fire-worshippers.

– “Mədrəsə” (Madrasah) (12th century). Madrasah was a Moslem spiritual school where students studied the Qur’an as well as natural sciences and mathematics.

– “Məhəmməd Məscidi” (1078-79 years) is the oldest mosque of the Islamic period.

– “Miniature Books Museum”. The museum stores a collection of miniature books from different periods of time, languages, and authors. The collection consists of 6,500 books from 64 countries of the world.

– Aliagha Vahid monument. It was initially placed in the garden near the Philharmonic n 1990. At the end of 2008 the monument was carried to the square in Icheri Sheher near Shirvanshahs’ Palace. The monument was made by sculptor R. Hasanov. Vahid is the literary pseudonym of Aliagha Isgandarov (1895-1965), a poet and Honoured Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR.

– “Shirvanshahs’ Palace” Complex (12th-15th centuries) was the last palace of Shirvanshahs’ State with the history of more than a thousand years.

Gabala is one of the most beautiful parts of Azerbaijan from ancient histories. For a long time this city was the capital of Caucasian Albania. Gabala was located in the middle of the Great Silk Road, thus, trade and cultural exchange were developed here. One of the interesting places in Gabala is the village of Nij. Representatives of the generation of ancient Caucasian Albanians – Udins settled in this area. They speak their own language, they guard the traditions that they inherited from their ancestors. The Udi temple of St. Elisey is considered a landmark. Mausoleum Imam – Baba, Juma – Mosque, waterfall “7 Beauties”, which originates high in the mountains and cascades down seven times, Lake Nokhur, near Gabala and when we climb by the cable car to the mountain, here we can see all beauty of this land. In addition to walking in mountainous areas, adults and children can find entertainment in the large “Gabaland” amusement park.

At 08:00 you will head to Gabala after you have breakfast in the hotel. On the way to Gabala will be stopping in Shamakhi “Jame Mosque” which is the first built mosque in Azerbaijan history after slam is asserted as the main religion in this territory. In addition, you will observe the beautiful nature of the surrounding. In the entrance of Gabala, we will change our route to a waterfall which is called Yeddi Gozel (Seven Beauties) among locals. The amenity of this place will admire with the challenges of seeing the third break of the waterfall. Another beautiful place we look up after waterfall is Nohur lake which is surrounded by old trees, also you can walk around the lake where you can relax, even sailboat on. Inside Gabala there is a local restaurant that we will serve a set of national dishes at 13.30 to our guests for lunch. After the lunch it’s time to say goodbye to the restaurant at 14:30 and we will start the trip to Gabala shooting club for some entertainment. The last major destination: Tufandag resort which has one of the longest cable cars in the world. There is an environment for skiing, or just for memorable summer views of the Caucasus scenery behind. In the end, we bring you back to the hotel or drop off at any address in Baku.
