Pomegranate has a rich historical presence in Azerbaijan. This fruit is cultivated in most regions of the country. Due to its location in the dry subtropical zone, Shirvan is considered one of the best regions for growing high-quality pomegranate varieties. Goychay pomegranate, on the other hand, is highly valued as one of Azerbaijan's finest pomegranates. The uniqueness of this variety lies in its secret, which is hidden in the microclimate and soil composition that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Azerbaijan produces 40,000 tons of pomegranates annually in its vineyards.
In Goychay district, an annual traditional pomegranate festival is held. During the festival, various types of pomegranates grown by people engaged in pomegranate farming from 32 villages of the region are presented, along with products made from pomegranates. Pomegranate eating and squeezing competitions are also held during the festival.

🍵Sheki Piti is an irreplaceable dish in Azerbaijani cuisine. The main ingredients used in its preparation are lamb meat, chickpeas, potatoes, onions, turnips, and saffron. One of the key features of Piti is that it is cooked in a clay pot called "dobu." One pot is intended for one person. The most important aspect is that the older the clay pot, the more delicious the Piti cooked in it becomes. If the clay pot is new, they first fill it with water and bring it to a boil to "saturate" the pot. This way, the authentic and flavorful Şəki Piti is prepared in the carefully prepared clay pot.

Və ən əsası odur ki, dobu nə qədər köhnə olsa onun içində hazırlanan piti o qədər dadlı olur. Əgər dobu təzədirsə pitini qoymadan öncə qabları yaxşıca qoyun piyi və qaynar su ilə “doydururlar”. Belə hazırlanmış qabda əsl dadlı Şəki pitisi hazırlanır.

The highest waterfall of Azerbaijan is the Mucuq Waterfall, with a height of 96 meters. This waterfall is located near the Laza village in Qabala district, and it stands at an elevation of 1700 meters on the left side of the Demiraparan River. The Mucuq Waterfall derives its water from the Qotur mountain range, collecting the runoff from snow and rainfall. ⛰️
