✨ 24 Hours in Xi’an, China ✨
A whirlwind day in one of China’s Four Great Ancient Capitals — formerly Chang’an, home of the Zhou, Qin & Tang dynasties 🏯
We arrived in Xi’an on an overnight train from Beijing 🚆 and even with the cheapest sleeper bunks, it was super comfy. Early morning check-in wasn’t expected, but Hesu Hotel completely surprised us — upgraded room, 9 a.m. check-in and the best breakfast we had in China 😍
The hotel was stylish, full of art and cat details 🐱, with a huge, free laundry room and amazing service. They even booked discounted tickets for the Empress of Tang Show and gave us gifts + hot drinks at checkout. A dream stay! 🌟
First stop: the Terracotta Army 🏺 (about 1 hr from the center). Definitely book an English-speaking guide — it saves so much time and makes the visit more meaningful. After the museum, grab fresh pomegranate juice 🍹 and check out the souvenir stalls.
In the evening, we watched the Empress of Tang Show 🎭 with its stunning costumes, dancers, effects, and a delicious colorful dumpling feast 🥟 — a local specialty!
Then a quick taxi ride to two icons:
📸 Giant Wild Goose Pagoda
📸 Bell Tower
Both were magical at night, with locals posing in traditional outfits. Pure Xi’an charm ✨
To finish the day, we explored Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City — free, lively, full of lights, street shows, crafts, and Tang-inspired architecture 🎇 We visited the Chocolate Museum 🍫 and enjoyed a slow evening walk before bed.
Xi’an truly blends ancient history with unforgettable experiences. A perfect 24-hour adventure ❤️
