*Suggested Itinerary*
*DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT COCHIN*
Arrival at Cochin. After that get transferred to hotel. Later on proceed for a half day sightseeing of Cochin visiting the Chinese fish net, Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, St Francis Church,Fort Cochin etc. Overnight stay at Cochin.
*DAY 2: COCHIN TO MUNNAR:*
After breakfast, drive to Munnar (140 km â 04 Hours drive) and check in to the hotel on arrival. Enroute visit Athirapally waterfalls and Cheeyappara waterfall. Overnight stay is arranged in Munnar.
*DAY 3: MUNNAR SIGHTSEEING*
Spend the day with local sightseeing. Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale, Munnar is 1600 Meter above sea level. This majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British government in South India. Local sightseeing of Munnar includes visit to Mattupetty Dam,Echo point, Eravikulam , National Park, Kundale Lake and Echo point. Afternoon proceed to Rajamalai were the rarest species of mountain goat, "Nilgiri Thars", can be spotted. Overnight stay is arranged at Munnar.
*DAY 4: MUNNAR TO THEKKADY*
After early breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady (110 kmâ 03 Hours drive), on arrival check into the hotel. Spend the afternoon with the sightseeing tour of Thekkady - one of the world's most fascinating wild life reserves. The Periyar wild life sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km of which 360 sq km is thick ever green forest. Noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wild life and scenic beauty, the sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Optional activities like Boating at Periyar Lake, Spice Plantation visit, Bamboo Rafting, Trekking and Elephant Ride can be done on an extra cost.. Overnight stay is arranged in Thekkady.
*DAY 5: THEKKADY TO ALLEPPEY
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey, on arrival check into the house boat. Spend the day with local sightseeing in and around Alleppey. Overnight stay house boat at Alleppy.
*DAY6:
KOVALAM-VARKALA-KOVALAM*
After breakfast check out from the house boat then transfer to
proceed for a day excursion to Varkala. Arrive at Varkala and head to the main beach, also known as Papanasam Beach. This beach is believed to have holy waters that can wash away sins. Enjoy the sun, sand and sea, and admire the views of the red cliffs that line the shore.Walk along the cliff path, where you can find many cafes, shops, yoga centers and Ayurvedic spas. You can stop for a bite, a drink or a massage, or just soak in the laid-back vibe of the place and from 5 pm to 8 pm.Head to the Varkala Aquarium, a small but interesting aquarium that showcases the marine life of Kerala. You can see various fish, turtles, crabs, lobsters and more. The aquarium is open from 9 am to 6 pm and charges Rs. 20 for adults and Rs. 10 for children.End your day with a spectacular sunset at the Varkala Cliff. Watch the sky turn into a riot of colors as the sun dips into the Arabian Sea. You can also enjoy some live music and entertainment at some of the cliff-side venues. Return to Kovalam for a comfortable overnight stay.
*DAY 7: DEPARTURE FROM KOVALAM*
After breakfast free then you will be dropped at Trivandrum Airport/ Railway Station for your onward journey.
