During the Sultanate and Mughal periods, rural Bengal flourished with local markets, ponds, mosques, and community life.
Under British rule, there was hardship—taxes and landlords—but also stories of struggle and resilience were born here.

After independence, many things changed.
Now villages have schools, electricity, and health centers.
Yet the scent of the soil, the bamboo groves, the chirping sparrows—remain just the same.

This is our root, our identity.
