অনেকে যখন “ভিসা রেশিও” বলে, তখন ধরে নেন যে দূতাবাস বা কনস্যুলেট নির্দিষ্ট কোনো শতাংশ বা কোটার ভিত্তিতে ভিসা অনুমোদন বা রিজেক্ট করে। আসলে ব্যাপারটা এমন নয়। ভিসা কখনো কোনো রেশিও বা টার্গেট নম্বর অনুযায়ী দেওয়া হয় না।

প্রত্যেকটি আবেদন আলাদাভাবে মূল্যায়ন করা হয় আপনার কাগজপত্র, ভ্রমণের উদ্দেশ্য, আর্থিক সক্ষমতা, নিজ দেশে পারিবারিক/পেশাগত অবস্থান এবং আপনার বিশ্বাসযোগ্যতার ভিত্তিতে।

সত্যি বলতে, ভিসা পাওয়ার জন্য কঠিন শর্তাবলী, অনেক কাগজপত্র এবং কনস্যুলেট ও দূতাবাসের কড়া যাচাই-বাছাইয়ের মতো বিষয়গুলো আমাদের জন্য চ্যালেঞ্জিং হতে পারে। কিন্তু এই কঠোর ব্যবস্থাটি আসলে সত্যিকারের ভ্রমণকারীদের জন্য একটি সুবিধা। এর ফলে কেবল বৈধ ভ্রমণকারীরাই সুযোগ পায় এবং সবাই নিশ্চিন্তে, নিরাপদে ঘুরে বেড়াতে পারে।

অনেকেই মনে করেন, পূর্বে ট্রাভেল হিস্ট্রি না থাকলে বা নতুন পাসপোর্টে ফার্স্ট-ওয়ার্ল্ড ভিসা পাওয়া প্রায় অসম্ভব। তবে টুরিস্টার পূর্ববর্তী অভিজ্ঞতা এবং সাম্প্রতিক ফাইল অন্য কিছু বিশ্লেষণ করে।
