যে কাজ করার যোগ্যতা বা দায়িত্ব কোনোটাই আপনার নেই, সেই কাজ নিয়ে মাতব্বরি দেখাতে আসাটা সত্যিই হাস্যকর। আগে নিজের দায়িত্বটা ঠিকমতো পালন করুন।তারপর সেই কাজে হস্তক্ষেপ করে জ্ঞান দিতে আসবেন।

বাসার আশেপাশের কিছু প্রতিবেশী মুরুব্বি আঙ্কেল-আন্টি আছেন, দেখা হলেই শুরু হয়ে যায় নানা রকম উপদেশ। কীভাবে পরিবার এর জন্য কি করতে হবে সবকিছু নিয়েই তাঁদের অগাধ জ্ঞান ও পরামর্শ!

অথচ সত্যি বলতে, তাঁরা যেসব বিষয়ে আমাদের উপদেশ দেন, সেসবের চেয়েও অনেক বেশি আমরা নিজেদের পরিবার ও ভবিষ্যতের জন্য করি। সবচেয়ে মজার বিষয় হলো, অন্যের সন্তানকে শিষ্টাচার, দায়িত্ববোধ আর সামাজিকতার শিক্ষা দেওয়া সেই মুরুব্বি আঙ্কেল-আন্টিদের সন্তানদের দেখা যায় সারাদিন ঘরে শুয়ে-বসে খাচ্ছে, কোনো কাজকর্ম নেই, দায়িত্ববোধ নেই, সামাজিক আচরণও নেই।

মাঝে মাঝে বলতে ইচ্ছে করে,

“প্রতিবেশী মুরুব্বি আঙ্কেল-আন্টি, বাসার বাইরে অন্যদের যে উপদেশগুলো এত সুন্দর করে দেন, সেগুলো যদি নিজের ঘরেও একটু প্রয়োগ করতেন, তাহলে হয়তো আপনাদের নিজেদের সন্তানরা এতটা বেয়াদব, অসামাজিক আর দায়িত্বজ্ঞানহীন হতো না।”

অন্যের পরিবারকে উপদেশ দেওয়া খুব সহজ। নিজের পরিবারে সেই উপদেশের বাস্তব প্রয়োগ করাটাই আসল যোগ্যতা।

Everyone sees me trying to stay strong, but nobody sees the weight I’m carrying. My mid-term exams are going on. My father is sick and undergoing an operation today. I’m doing the housework, studying, handling responsibilities, and somehow trying to keep my life from falling apart. At the same time, after one whole year of hard work, I’m not even getting my fair share.I always try to stay humble and down to earth, but people often take advantage of my kindness and take it for granted. On top of everything, I’m dealing with emotional manipulation and situations that keep breaking my peace, leaving me questioning where I stand, what I should keep, what I should let go of, and what I’m even supposed to do anymore. I genuinely don’t know. I’ve tried to be strong for so long. But how much more can one person bear? I’m physically tired, mentally drained, and emotionally exhausted.And for once, I just want life to stop asking me to be stronger and give me a moment to breathe.
