For the past few days, I have been seeing in the group that many people are buying the wrong ticket and then blaming international websites. And some agents are also taking advantage of this. For this reason, I thought it was important to share this issue!
What is important to know to avoid the hassle of buying the wrong ticket!
1. đ Avoid buying Self Transfer tickets
What is the problem? This ticket has multiple PNRs, due to which you will not get a boarding pass from Bangladesh.
In the intermediate countries, you have to collect luggage and re-check-in. Sometimes a transit visa may be required in the intermediate countries.
Example: Dhaka to Kuala Lumpur and from there to Bali on another airline. Here in the intermediate country, Malaysia, you may have to process it again.
2. đ Be careful about tickets from two airlines
If you have to travel on two different airlines:
For example: Biman Bangladesh Airlines from Dhaka to Kolkata and from there to Hanoi on IndiGo.
In this case, the first airline will not give you a boarding pass for your next flight. As a result, you will have to face additional hassles at the intermediate airport.
Why are these risky for new travelers?
The transit process can seem complicated to newbies.
There is extra time, cost and risk of misunderstandings.
My advice:
