We are delighted to announce that Alfred Ramosedi, FCMA, CGMA, has been elected as the 93rd President of CIMA and the 11th Co‑Chair of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants.

As he takes up the role, Alfred has set out a clear vision for the future of the profession, built on trust, innovation, and opportunity: “The choices we make today – how we earn trust, embrace technology, lead through uncertainty and complexity, and invest in the next generation – will shape the future of finance and accounting. If we get those choices right, we will not simply keep pace with change; we will define it.” We also extend our sincere thanks to John Graham, FCMA, CGMA, for his leadership and service to the profession.

Women in Leadership: A Global Perspective on Inclusive and Sustainable Leadership

In this short video, Lexy Kessler, Chair of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, shares the thinking behind our new global report, Women in Leadership: A Global Perspective on Inclusive and Sustainable Leadership.

The report brings together insights from senior women leaders across Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, South Asia, North Asia and Africa. Their reflections point to an important shift in the leadership conversation: this is not only about representation, confidence or pipeline. It is also about how leadership is recognised, developed and supported in practice.

Under Lexy’s leadership, these conversations were convened across five regions. The work was strongly championed by Irene Teng, EVP- Global Markets, who mobilised our regional teams in support of Lexy’s leadership and the wider purpose of this initiative.

We are grateful to the women leaders who shared their experiences so openly. Their insights challenge us to think more deeply about the systems, opportunities and support that help leadership grow.
