🕋 Alhamdulillah! Today is the 8th of Dhul Hijjah – Yawm at-Tarwiyah! 🌙

Today marks a significant step in the sacred journey of Hajj. Our beloved pilgrims have now arrived and are staying in Mina — the valley where the rituals of Hajj officially begin.

📍 Staying in Mina – A Day of Reflection
On this day, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ went to Mina and performed the prayers of Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, and the next day’s Fajr there. Spending the night in Mina is a Sunnah of the Prophet during Hajj.

🌟 Staying in Mina represents patience, devotion, and spiritual preparation. It is a reminder of sacrifice and submission to Allah ﷻ.

🤲 May Allah accept the Hajj of all our pilgrims, ease their hardships, and grant them a Maqbul and Mabroor Hajj.

A Fabricated Story: Did Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) take Isma'il (peace be upon him) and his mother out by pretending it was a feast or a trip?

Some careless speakers claim that when Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) went to sacrifice his son Isma'il (peace be upon him), he tricked him and his mother by saying they were going to a feast or on a trip. According to this story, Isma'il’s mother dressed him up nicely, and along the way, Ibrahim (peace be upon him) revealed the truth to his son.

This story is completely fabricated. There is no reliable source or narration that supports it. The Qur'an clearly explains that Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) had a dream in which he was commanded to sacrifice his son, and he openly shared this with Isma'il (peace be upon him). There is no mention of any deception or pretending.

Believing or spreading such baseless stories is wrong. Suggesting that a Prophet would lie or use deceit, especially about such a serious matter, is highly disrespectful and goes against the honor and integrity of a Prophet. No Prophet would ever act in such a way.

The Qur'an clearly states:
"Then when the boy reached an age where he could work with him, [Ibrahim] said, ‘O my son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice you. So tell me, what do you think?’ He said, ‘O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, to be of the patient ones.’"
— Surah As-Saffat (37:102)

There is also another commonly repeated but baseless claim: that Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was commanded in a dream to sacrifice something he loved dearly, and he guessed that it was his son. This too has no basis in any authentic source. The Qur'an is clear: the dream specifically showed him sacrificing Isma'il (peace be upon him). So there’s no need for speculation.

The Saudi authorities have announced a fine of SR 20,000 for those trying to enter Makkah without a Hajj permit.

Dear brothers and sisters, please follow the rules and make sure to obtain the proper authorization before embarking on your sacred journey.
A small mistake can lead to serious consequences and disrupt the spiritual purpose of Hajj.

Muhammad relied on Samir to guide him through the city streets.
Samir relied on Muhammad to move through life.
Both were orphans.
Both shared the same small room.


Samir was a hakawati — a master storyteller — who enchanted the customers of a local café with tales from One Thousand and One Nights.
Muhammad sold bolbolas outside the same café, listening to his friend’s stories with joy.


One day, Muhammad returned to their room to find Samir had passed away.
He wept for seven days without rest.


When asked how they had lived in such harmony, despite being from different religions, Muhammad simply pointed to his heart and said:

"Here, we were the same."
