Imagine... een zonsondergang boven de wijnranken, een toast met collega’s en klanten, verhalen van de wijnbouwer én een diner te midden van de wijngaard. Niet in Zuid-Frankrijk, maar gewoon in Brugge. Bij Wijndomein ‘T Neerhof ontvangen Sascha De Smet en Sonia Marazuela je voor vergaderingen, recepties, teambuildings of wijnproeverijen in een unieke, rustgevende setting. De degustatieruimte biedt plaats aan 50 personen.

World Chocolate Day marks the date when chocolate was first brought to Europe in 1550. Belgian’s chocolate heritage dates back to the 1600s, with Bruges and Brussels becoming centers of chocolate innovation that continue to influence global chocolate making today.

About 400 global leaders from both academia and industry are in Bruges for a topical program highlighting the latest results in organic chemistry, chemical biology and medicinal chemistry. The 25th Tetrahedron Symposium takes place in the Bruges Meeting & Convention Centre. The conference dinner was held in the historic brewery Brouwerij De Halve Maan in the heart of Bruges where the delicious local beer Brugse Zot has been brewed for 20 years.
The Tetrahedron symposium is organised by Elsevier in association with the Tetrahedron journals.

When Professor Desmet from the VUB University proposed hosting the International Symposium on High Performance Liquid Phase Separations and Related Techniques (HPLC) in Bruges for around 1,000 delegates (15 to 19 June), it once again demonstrated how smoothly Bruges venues work together and combine synergies.

The opening ceremony and reception took place in the stunning Concert Hall of the Concertgebouw Brugge, while the scientific programme, including plenary sessions, exhibition stands and networking space, are being held in the Bruges Meeting & Convention Centre. Both venues are just a short walk apart and perfectly complement one another. For the conference dinner tonight, the industrial heritage site La Brugeoise is a striking setting.

Until the 26th of May, the Provinciaal Hof in Bruges opens its doors for the FLAX DNA Expo, a unique exhibition that will take you on a fascinating journey from raw material to finished product. The expo offers an in-depth look at the story of flax and its transformation into the iconic textile product linen. An engaging voyage through time, showcasing traditional artisanal techniques of the past alongside the innovative production methods of today.

This remarkable initiative by the flax processing industry and related businesses proudly showcases Flanders’ industrial heritage in all its splendor.
