ESN Gent was founded in 1989 by students who saw the need for an organization which gives a hand to visiting exchange students. After a few years it became clear that ESN had become something vital for foreign students arriving in a city without knowing where to go or who to contact. Today, the ESN Gent team consists of motivated volunteer

s who devote their free time to help you and to make your time in Gent the best experience of your life! In order to achieve this goal, we organize parties, trips, cultural activities and much more throughout the academic year.

ESN Gent is RECRUITING 😁!

Do you love being in an international environment, or do you often find yourself reminiscing about your own exchange adventures with a smile?   Then we have some exciting news for you! ESN Gent is looking for new board members and volunteers for 2025-2026!

* As an ESN Board Member, you get to Take charge of your own projects and activities 
* Experience personal growth and development 
* Attend amazing (inter)national events and trips 
* Forge new friendships and connections!

We currently have multiple positions open for applications. Swipe to see what each role involves, and find out which position would be the best fit for you!

If you aren’t sure about taking on a board position, don’t worry! We’re also looking for volunteers to help us out at our activities! That way, you can still experience an amazing international environment right here in Ghent, while maintaining a more flexible schedule.

We’re organising two recruitment events to explain everything about ESN, answer all of your questions, and get to know each other better. Come and meet the team, learn more about ESN Gent, and find out how you can get involved. We cannot wait to see you there 😊!
