WHY is there NO TRAIN from Istanbul to Antalya?! 😭😭😭

I'm travelling thousands of kilometres from Germany to Turkey without flying, but somehow I can't take a train to my FINAL destination?!
And with only 27 DAYS left until my journey to COP31, the world's biggest climate conference, I really need to figure this out! 🚆🇹🇷
So far, I've found two options:
OPTION 1️⃣
Direct bus
Istanbul → Antalya
OPTION 2️⃣
High-speed train + bus
Istanbul → Konya by train
Konya → Antalya by bus
Of course, I'd love to travel as much as possible by train, but does it actually make sense to take the small detour via Konya?
Or is there a better way to reach Antalya without flying?
