Uvuyo Travel & Events had another adventurous experience on our 2019 Mont Blanc summit expedition. Although we didn’t reach the top, due to bad weather and a lot of snow, it was an amazing adventure -summiting was not meant to be for now. So we will be back in 2021 for another edition with a group of 8 women to try again. The pre-climb was beyond challenging and the gale force winds took us past our limits. Two incredible ladies from South Africa conquered far more than just their own personal challenges but also achieved many firsts: snow... How do you explain to someone that feeling of seeing & touching snow for the very first time! Many of us have long forgotten that experience. These women can sure bring adventure to life. You were incredible and I salute you!!! ❤️❤️

Preparations are on schedule, one month from now a group of 19 of us will hit the roads in Namibia; taste the African dust between our teeth; discover the wild open fields and enjoy nature’s surprises as we experience this amazing country.
Time to explore the sound of silence; fall in love with the breathtaking sunsets; follow the footsteps on the dunes and feel the sea breeze on our faces; dream of riding on the moon as we follow the road through the Moon Landscape...

For 12 years in a row, once again Uvuyo Travel & Events had the privilege of organising the Spirit of Adventure tour for Ince (Pty) Limited (www.ince.co.za).

This year the adventure was Uganda. What an amazing country this is!!! A week of packed adventure from start to finish. A group of 9 adventurers took off on 25 August and little did they know how they are about to stretch their boundaries. A day of quad biking through the small villages in Jinja with friendly children greeting us with great enthusiasm on the side of the road: Hello; how are YOU?? Waving with the most beautiful smiles. Ending the day on a private sunset cruise on the Victoria Nile. The next day was river rafting and rapid after rapid took us from a scale of 4 to 6 on a 25km adventure. With beautiful surroundings we drift down the Nile and enjoyed the experience of a scary flip or two into the water. 2 days of mountain biking through the banana plantations; small villages; through valleys with some really though hills. The African sun on our skins; our faces covered with dust and a last uphill amongst the trees takes us into a rain forest for the night. A domestic flight from Entebbe to Kisoro took us to the area of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Mt. Gahinga is a volcano hike of nearly 8 hours through a virgin and secondary forest; bamboo area and on top of the volcano, standing on a swamp. Breathtaking!!!! The highlight of the Spirit of Adventure tour: an hour in the presence of the Nyakagezi gorilla group. An indescribable experience. Nature keeps you humble. Spirit of Adventure experience where strangers turn into friends and relationships are formed. Thank you to Ince for the trust; the respect and the carte blanche I have as a company to take the Spirit of Adventure to the next level. Thank you for 12 years of Adventure, where it leaves you speechless then turns you in a storyteller. 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
