2020... The Year that WAS!

Who would have imagined on New Year's Eve that any of us would be where we are today? Wow! What a crazy couple of months it has been!! But whether in Brussels or London, Ontario ministry is moving forward!

This past week I taught students in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland and Romania… all from the stand-up desk in my daughter Sarah’s bedroom. This week was 16 hours of brand new classes. A few weeks ago I taught a masters intensive course along with the regular load for a 25 hour week. What makes it really challenging, though, is converting to an on-line format.

We’ve been taking two-week stints at each of our kids’ homes. (Good thing there’s 5!) Not only does this save money 😊… but we get to be with our grandkids 😍! Eileen has been keeping up with our growing network of friends, and generally makes sure we’re more help than hindrance! (Eileen=help, I’ll leave the rest for you to figure out… 😬).

Church has been interesting… preaching by video at home and abroad! My good friend, Benny Kjiersdam gave me a chance to share with the good folks at Elim in the Sault, and on May 10 it was Ted Leck’s Church in the City! And here’s a shock… history has been made and I can actually preach less than 20 minutes!

You are making it possible for us to be true to the call of God, and work for the kingdom in the best way possible. Finances, we know, are tight all around, but we are so grateful for God’s faithfulness through our home team! That’s YOU!

Can’t believe this is Brussels Grand Place! There are always so many visitors in this beautiful square....never has been able to grow grass!!

Jacques and Marie are a huge blessing to our students here in Belgium!
