Riding Base Balkan We are a riding base in Bulgaria, with more than 20 years of experience in creating riding adventures and life time memories.

Here you can find a combination of the magnificent nature and the outstanding couple: The rider & the horse. We are a family horse riding base, located in the Central-North Bulgaria, in the small town Apriltsi. We offer horse back riding and riding trails for all ages and levels, in the beautiful nature of the Balkan Mountains and Sedna Gora Mountains.

Today is Todorovden, the day of the holy Theodore, celebrated in the Orthodoxe Church and by all horse lovers as the day is also known as the Horse Easter.

The legend tells on this day Saint Ttheodore dressed himself in nine furs and went to God to beg him for the summer to come. In connection with the image the people have created of the saint, horse races are held all over Bulgaria.
