Film in the old town of Bansko

Mayor of Bansko Alexander Kravarov received a letter from Veselin Karadjov - Director "Production" of the film company Nu Boyana Viburno Ltd. The letter says that in 2011 Nu Boyana Viburno Ltd. is planning to shoot the largest project carried out in Bulgaria, with the working title "substituted 2" starring Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris, John Travolta and others.
As the letter points out that after preliminary inspections conducted by the creative team of production, some episodes are selected parts of the old town of Bansko, representatives of the company wants permission from the mayor Alexander Kravarov to conduct filming in mid- November.
In response to a letter Mayor Alexander Kravarov said he fully supports the project and the company will do everything in Bansko for photos to be made and the actors involved in the film to feel like home.

Closed Opera Festival Bansko 2011

Hundreds of residents and guests of Bansko had the opportunity to enjoy the performances included in the second edition of Bansko Opera Festival 2011 "which took place on 26 and 27 August.
Official start of the event gave the mayor Alexander Kravarov organizer and James Hughes. In his address to the participants and audience, they wanted the opera under the stars in Bansko to become a tradition on which to enjoy all the art connoisseurs. After the opera "La Traviata" in the first night of the festival, fans
classical art on Saturday heard some of the best works of
kompozitori.Zvuchaha world famous arias from popular operas, and solo and group performances
followed one after another. After the theater and jazz festivals, opera in Forum
weekend again become the town square in the realm of
art. Bansko Opera Festival added another memorable touch to the fiesta of the summer 2011, which turned Bansko except in tourist and cultural capital of Bulgaria.
