In close cooperation with "Nationalpark Neusiedler See - Seewinkel" the young ornithologist Jakob Vratny managed to provide the second ever breeding case for the Baillon’s Crake in Austria
On a renaturalized wetland on the site of the St. Martins Therme & Lodge - Bed & Birding partner ( www.bedandbirding.com ), breeding experiment shows that renatured wetlands – as required by the EU Nature Restoration Law – can play a crucial role for endangered species like the Baillon’s Crake.
