"Sometimes slower is just...better!"
Many reasons that Trials isn't currently popular in Bulgaria - primarily its lack of exposure, secondly - the perception that speed is the best thing...the "give it gaaass!" culture etc. and also that as a discipline it's simply a training exercise for enduro, hard enduro & so on. There isn't a competition or club scene for trials either (yet)
But it's MUCH more. As a complimentary activity all types of bike riders can improve skills, gain confidence, stay fit even...
The enduro riders thinking that they're going to learn a "trick" or copy their heros' abilities are going to go away disappointed - it takes serious dedication and hour after hour on the bike so that everything comes easily...
The balance, the body positioning, clutch & throttle control, timing....can all be transferred to road or competition riding once you understand & can repeat techniques without really thinking about it.
It's something that will definitely become really popular here if riders give it a try and see that it's a great fun way to challenge yourself, see that it's a serious sport in itself, not a training tool, and build on the friendly nature that trials always creates wherever riders go and attempt to "keep their feet up"
