Enjoy a trip to the ancient Thracian Tomb on the outskirts of Pomorie, only 10 minute drive from the Vineyard Views Apartment.

Located on the outskirts of the Pomorie, the Ancient Dome Tomb is an extremely important monument of Thracian funerary architecture from the period of the Roman Empire. The site, also known as the "Hollow Mound", is dated to the 2nd-3rd century AD and is distinguished by its unique construction technique and symbolism, which make it one of a kind in Bulgaria.

The tomb was discovered in 1906 by local residents during excavations. The first scientific study was conducted in 1908.

When the tomb was discovered, it had already been robbed in ancient times, which is the reason for the lack of grave goods.

The most common theory is that it served as a family mausoleum of a noble Thracian family from Anhialo (the ancient name of Pomorie).

Today, the Ancient Dome Tomb is part of the list of 100 national tourist sites of Bulgaria. It attracts thousands of visitors and is a subject of constant interest from historians and archaeologists, combining architectural mastery, engineering solutions and deep symbolism characteristic of the ancient Thracian culture.

From September 1st, the Sand Sculpture Festival in Bourgas will have new opening hours.

Every day from 9 AM to 8 PM, you can enjoy the incredible sand masterpieces.

This year's theme is "The City of Fairy Tales" and presents beloved characters such as Alice in Wonderland 🐇, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, Peter the Wise, Pinocchio and many more!
