Yesterday we were very productive in the animal enclosure, moving an old coop and removing a partial fence, clearing rubbish and giving it a general tidy up. It looks better already and now the small pools used for the ducks are against the fence by the veg garden, this will allow me to empty them (when cleaning and refilling) and the water will run into the veg beds, watering what ever crop I decided to plant there a good water source packed with ducky waste goodness! All the coops have fresh bedding and straw is spread around the area to try and make it less of a mud skid rink. Today I just want to secure some areas of chicken wire and then it's pretty much it until we extend the full area

I'm excited to move the goats and give all the animals the full top half of the garden, it will ensure the animals don't disturb the guests, getting them fully away from any of the holiday accommodations, but still visible for the fun factor. And I'll get more area for crops and flowers! And I'm definitely adding a picnic table in the new pen area because I definitely want tea parties with the Homestead Family at some point. Things are coming together nicely, we just need to work out how much fencing and building materials we need?

Finally it has arrived!!!
We got through the January Marathon!

Right now, I'm starting this month with an announcement, In this world full of insecurities and turmoil, The One Thing that a human being can do for another human being is...be kind💕
Let's make February the month of Love!
The month to be kind to each other, to support each other!
I don't use this page to make personal gain, but I need your support to show our beautiful Grand-daughter that bullying IS NOT OK! This brave girl, fought and won meningitis at just 5 weeks old, she suffered complications to her health because of it, but she still turned out to be the most funny,kind hearted,beautiful,sassy little soul I know, and yet she is being bullied, why? Because bullies are weak, insecure and nasty! What can older children see to bully her for! Her fekkin eyebrows! She's 7 FGS! This is an ongoing matter, we thought it had been stopped!
But this heroine won't break! She calls them her Luna Brow! But when will bullying stop? And not just with kids, Adults too??? Bullies come in all shapes,sizes and ages,! Sad,sad people.

February should be a month of love,kindness and support!

Well, it's been a slow day, finally coloured my hair, no grey now!! And my new gadget arrived so I had to make a new bag to try it out! It's also been a great day for washing, but tbh I should have been working in the garden🤦

John has been helping a friend by mending their car trouble, now he's sorting the pool pump! Not that it's warm enough for that, but it's a job that needs doing.

So here we are the closing of Friday!

The time has come for bath,bottle and bedtime here at Serendipity...
Everyone is having a nice clean bath putting their PJ's on and asking for bedtime stories!
The Ducks have had "The Ugly Duckling'
The Chickens like "Chicken Licken"
The Goats "Billy Goats Gruff" obviously.
And the new addition hasn't decided yet, but got bedtime treats for being so good💕

Yes Guys it's been a very positive day today! I got quite a bit of washing hung out and dried! Tea is in the pans waiting, maybe I'll even finally make the apple crumble I keep promising?

Even the dogs have been on their best behaviour💕

So for now I'll sign off, wish you all a pleasant evening and let's see what tomorrow brings?

Good Morning and let's Welcome Thursday January 30th!
Outside is looking a bit miserable at the moment, but it's due to brighten up as the day progresses.
Last night we had a lovely meal out courtesy of our lovely guest who sadly leaves us today.
Obviously we went straight to our favourite restaurant the .gara
Great service and excellent food every time 💕 We won't go anywhere else!

I'm hoping to get some photos on our next visit, but we were too busy enjoying great company to think about photos lol.

But my main subject this morning is.....
I can't believe how fast our new addition to the homestead has settled in!!!! Last night, said addition went straight to bed, didn't cry out for a light leaving on or a drink of water all night! Today we will be filming for Sunday's episode where we reveal who has joined the farm family, we also reveal the name of the Granny Annexe and talk about everything to do with Rural Homesteading.

The work begins on new animal shelters, getting the garden ready for veggie planting and of course all the fun and games that follow🤣🥰🤣🥰

It's been a chilled day today, even Jimmy called in for a chat🤦 as for anything else that's been happening? I can't say until after Sunday🙈🙉🙊 But there have been some changes at the Homestead!
Tomorrow we say Goodbye to one of the Loveliest Guests we have had! And that's saying something because we have been extremely lucky with the people that have chosen to stay here at Serendipity💚

We'll then get the Cottage ready for the new arrivals and continue working on plans.

Now I must go and have a chat to the farm firm and take their suggestions for the renovations, after all it's their new homes and areas!! Guess my kitchen will have to wait again🤦

Hello, just a little heads up for new followers! We offer Holiday self catering accommodation right here on the homestead. Yes you have your own private garden with outdoor furniture, hot tub, BBQ etc. And the cottage can sleep up to 6 adults. Photos are in the albums of the page for you to view.
Also we have a small Annexe/ Granny Flat/ Studio apartment, with garden and picnic table and seating, photos will be up soon to view.

But WE ARE A WORKING HOMESTEAD.
We have animals, Goats,Ducks,Chickens,Dogs and Cats.
We are in the process of changing the animals area so they will all be further away from the buildings and they won't enter of the private areas, that said cats go where they want!

They do not stop your stay being perfect, they add to it, if you are thinking of trying this life, where better to stay? And if you are just wanting a nice quiet recharge at least you have fresh eggs daily😉

What a beautiful day! The sun has been shining and it's been so warm! Today we went out for a few hours and collected my early birthday gift 😉
Tomorrow the work starts! And no it's not a kitchen🤦

Must say the police have been on form today! Never seen as many police cars dotted around, we also saw what looked like a prison van with a police es**rt?
And got stopped for a police check on our way home🤣🤣

But today is one of those just perfect days! Even if I have to muck out the coops and sheds.....

Yesterday I had a little moment of forgetting the reason for taking this life path. But after a nap and a quick chat with the ducks I soon remembered.

6 years ago the picture below was us!
Working in an office, dreaming of a new life we thought would never happen.
But fate had a surprise in-store for us!
And now here we are, yes I get too focussed on social media, thinking success is in the wrong areas of life!
But the numbers above show we have some amazing people watching us, coming on this amazing journey with us! Because our destination hasn't been reached yet! We are still learning, still evolving,still dreaming! We are getting so many enquiries from people asking advice and help in how to find their own paradise, we give them details to our trusted business friends, those that can help them with things we can't. Yes we can give you our experiences, and how we have or are doing things but the red tape areas are something we can't do... But we know those that can.....

If the picture below is you? Our advice is to research the areas you think you may like then visit them! Stay awhile take a look around, meet some locals etc.

If it's meant to be! You will feel it...

Our Guest that arrived last week has extended his stay twice! And may extend a 3rd time, but is definitely returning! This is all the verification needed!🥰🥰...

Here's a post with a difference for you🤣
You've seen all the (well most) of the photos for the before and afters of our little Homestead, and the way that the place has evolved and changed, which it's going to have a very big change again in the next few months! But this is us, before, after and now haha the first photo is our very first visit to Bulgaria(well for me) but our first visit to view the house we would buy and make home. 2nd photo is our second visit this was the first time we would spend the full 10 days actually living in our newly acquired property! And the 3rd photo is our 3rd visit! Yes our 3rd visit was our actual moving date!!!! It took just twice seeing this beautiful country and experiencing the peace and serenity for us to up sticks and make it home! The following photos are of us evolving into who we are now, and still with dreams of making it, living the good life! Just now we've stood looking at the whole area, imagining how it will look when we finally (🤞) change it again and maybe I get the garden I've always dreamt of and THE KITCHEN I am in need of lol....

It's not just about building,renovations,animals and growing veg, it's also about how we change, you change and evolve too🥰😘
