The trip was honestly lovely. I did a solo trip to Bulgaria in itself and didn’t have a thing planned. I booked it the day before on impulse and it was the best to do. Even the bus journey was nice to experience Bulgaria, the tour guide was informative funny and friendly, it was so nice to experience the Rila Monastery with the history behind it and the mineral spa was absolutely lovely to top it all of. With the Rila Monastery it was a little piece of Bulgarian history and I got to try some Bulgarian food at the shops they had AND THE VIEW OH MY. Even if you just went for the view there it was beautiful. The outdoor mineral spa was so nice and the hot water was something I didn’t even know I needed until I experienced it. It was an honest 10/10 for the entire thing and if you’ve read all this and are still thinking about it, from the only black girl that was there, do it. You’ll regret it if you don’t.
