The day starts with arriving at the BMA and getting settled in for a productive day ahead. It’s a great opportunity to prepare for meetings, review priorities and get ready to contribute to the work of the Supervision (BTCSI) Department
Before diving into the day, I take some time to review my assignments, organise my workload and identify key priorities. Staying organised helps me manage my responsibilities and make the most of my time.
I meet with Jelani Scott, Assistant Director (my manager), to discuss ongoing projects, ask questions and get guidance on upcoming tasks. These conversations help me better understand the work of the department and the wider financial services industry.
Time to join the team meeting. While some team members attend in person and others join virtually, it’s a valuable opportunity to hear updates, learn about current initiatives and see collaboration in action.
After a busy morning, it’s time to recharge. I keep lunch simple and use the break as an opportunity to step away from my desk before getting back to the afternoon’s activities.
I connect with my immediate team, including Enrico Santos, Principal, and Zain Abideen, Senior Analyst. These discussions provide valuable insights into the work being carried out across the team and allow me to learn from experienced professionals.
With the day winding down, I focus on completing outstanding tasks and preparing for tomorrow. Taking time to review progress helps me stay organised and ready for what’s next.
