Meet Christian a brilliant middle schooler from Warwick Academy who made a remarkable impact during his two days with our Data Science and Artificial Intelligence team.

His distinctive approach to learning and thinking stood out as he effortlessly grasped Excel Analysis, impressing Grace and Malvica with his swift understanding. Christian’s knack for recalling complex terms and ability to connect his analysis to how it can impact the industry and the BMA is something we do not usually see in students his age.

Malvica and Grace mention, “Christian’s keen intellect and quick learning were impressive, much like a skilled midfielder. He quickly showed the confidence of a true team player. Christian’s passion for learning and exploring, combined with dedication to what he loves, will undoubtedly propel him to great success.”

They encourage Christian to keep embracing opportunities—every step counts—as they are sure he’ll score big in all his future endeavours.

Our Story

The Bermuda Monetary Authority's (‘BMA’) Graduate Training Programme (GTP) provides Bermudian University graduates with a challenging and rewarding career/development experience. The rigorous three (3) year programme affords trainees the opportunity to gain practical work and academic experiences (internationally recognized certifications like ARM, ARe, RAA to name a few) with the Authority; and with industry partners both locally and internationally.

Our trainees have been seconded to engagements with regulators/ and standard setting bodies in the UK and Switzerland and with the international arms of reinsurance companies in the US and the UK. Trainees have been a credit to the BMA during all these overseas training opportunities and have gained valuable new perspectives regarding their regulated entities back home; while profiling the talent of our up and coming team members!

Our trainees had accepted the ‘Challenge’ to apply for a position with our GTP from a range of experiences both at universities and in the workforce. To date upon the successful completion of our Programme, ‘graduate’ trainees have all been invited by a department head into a permanent position within the Authority as Senior Analysts! Do you want an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that is meeting the challenges of regulation and supervision for the 21st century? Applications are accepted from 1st January to 31st March of each year for participation in our assessment process; with a view to placement of successful candidates beginning in the fall.

Challenge Yourself!
