Becoming more unsettled...

A Thunderstorm Advisory is in effect from this morning through tonight, with a Small Craft Warning valid until this evening.

Conditions will gradually deteriorate as a front moves in from the north and stalls nearby. Expect thickening cloud, scattered showers developing into longer spells of rain, and thunder at times.

The good news? Temperatures will drop today!
The front should finally move far enough south on Tuesday, allowing drier, brighter and less humid weather to settle in by midweek.
Seas will remain moderate throughout the holiday weekend.

Not the best day for the beach - but perfect for puddle jumping and watching those beautiful, dramatic skies!

West-southwesterly 16 to 22 knots, with stronger gusts in showers, veering west-northwesterly at times, easing 12 to 18 knots by this evening,

Jobson’s Cove is one of my favourite spots along South Shore.

When we visited yesterday, it was so quiet it was almost eerie.
There was nothing but the gentle lapping of the water and the sound of parrotfish having breakfast on the rocks.

Admittedly, the cove becomes jam-packed during the summer, which makes it feel a little less magical - but it never loses its beauty.

What's in a name?
"This picturesque South Shore inlet, surrounded by rugged rocks, was named after its 17th-century owner, William Jobson. The cove formed part of Share 21 in Warwick Parish, which Jobson purchased from William Page in 1644. A beautiful start to the weekend - with what looks like a washout finish.

Today will be hot and humid with generally fine weather, although winds will begin to strengthen.

A front arrives tomorrow, bringing showers through the Labour Day holiday on Monday.

Once the front moves south on Tuesday, we can look forward to drier, less humid conditions by midweek.

Seas will build to moderate this weekend before easing again.

Enjoy today while you can!

Sun, heat and mostly blue skies

Plenty of sunshine is expected today, although a brief, isolated shower may pop up.

Temperatures are climbing, but lower humidity should make it feel a little more comfortable. Winds will strengthen as a front approaches from the north, bringing breezier conditions and the chance of occasional rain from Sunday through the Labour Day holiday.

Smooth to slight seas will gradually become moderate over the weekend.

It’s looking like the perfect day to get out and enjoy the sunshine before a breezier—and possibly wetter—weekend arrives.

A toasty, clear day ahead.

Weak high pressure nudges in from the west today, bringing mainly dry conditions and light northerly winds, although the odd afternoon shower remains possible.

A front will slowly approach from the north toward the end of the week, bringing breezier and increasingly unsettled weather for the weekend.

Smooth to slight seas will also gradually build to moderate.

A perfect day to sit beneath a Poinciana tree and simply enjoy!

Humidity: 84%

Winds:
North-northeasterly 4 to 8 knots, becoming variable in direction at times, gradually backing west-northwesterly 8 to 12 knots towards evening
