COCHABAMBA

Cochabamba (2558 m), the City of Eternal Spring, is set in the middle of Bolivia and at the centre of a beautiful region which boasts an excellent climate and fascinating off-the-beaten-track attractions such as national parks, ancient ruins, colonial villages and festivals. The Cochabamba valley and tropical lowlands of Chapare form the agricultural heart of Bolivia.

SANTA CRUZ

The enormous Santa Cruz Department, encompassing much of Bolivia’s ‘Oriente’ (or vast eastern tropical lowlands), is a land of beautiful, lush landscapes. Its capital city, Santa Cruz de la Sierra (with 950 thousand inhabitants now Bolivia’s largest city) is hot, sprawling and - outside the tiled colonial central streets - unexpectedly modern.

Santa Cruz city (437 m) lies on the threshold of one of the most fascinating regions of Bolivia: To the northeast are the beautiful Jesuit Missions and the impressive Noel Kemp Mercado National Park just 3 hours away is the incredible Amboró National Park.
