Todos Santos Festivity in La Paz City
From Catholic view, is reminiscent of the saints who died in the glory of God. Therefore the Church solemnly honors since 835 during the period of Pope Gregory II and passing from 13 May to 1 November. On November 2 the Catholic Church takes the commemoration of "All Souls", which established in Rome in 1311 and consisting of the ritual to celebrate the dead through masses. In the Andean world view it is expressed with "ajayus" (soul) of the deceased who return from their long journey. From Tiwanaku they have been found archaeological evidence of cult of the dead in the tombs. The chroniclers tell how funerary rituals continued after death, for the remains of the great lords drew the places there "eat and drink" with the servants who cared. (Sabores de Bolivia, 2015)
