Living one of our best experience, biking at the Yungas Road in Bolivia, which is a cycle route about 60 km long which links the city of La Paz and the Yungas region of Bolivia. The route includes the Cotapata-Santa Bárbara section that replaced the old "Road of Death", currently reserved exclusively for cycling activities. At least 18 cyclists have died on the road since 1998. The tourist route is a 64 km long road with 3500 metres of descent.
The road was built in 1930. Because of steep slopes, a narrow single track, lack of guardrails, rain, and fog, the road was considered dangerous. Unlike the rest of the country, traffic was left-hand, to allow the driver to assess the distance of their outer wheel from the edge of the road.

In the middle of the 2010s, when this mountain has been discovered, mass tourism became attracted by the mountains' series of stripes of various colors. Finally we have visited one of our travel dreams, the magnifient Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu is a 15th-century Inca citadel, located in the southern Peru, on a 2,430-metre mountain ridge in the Cusco Region above the Sacred Valley. It was probably constructed as an estate for the Inca emperor Pachacuti (1438–1472). Often mistakenly referred to as the "Lost City of the Incas", it is the most familiar icon of Inca civilization. The Incas built the estate around 1450 but abandoned it a century later at the time of the Spanish conquest.
Machu Picchu was declared a Peruvian Historic Sanctuary in 1981 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. In 2007, Machu Picchu was voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
