We took our 4 month old on a 2,5 month trip across Portugal, Brazil, Costa Rica & Mexico City 🤍
And no, we didn’t plan our days around her.
She followed ours.
Before leaving, we kept reminding ourselves:
‘They sell formula & diapers there too. There are babies there too.’
That thought gave us the confidence to go.
And once we were there, we saw it was true every single day
We kept moving, exploring, eating out, taking long travel days and she adapted with us.
Not because we pushed her,
but because babies are more capable than we think.
Of course we also took it more slow this time.
This trip wasn’t always easy.
It asked for constant communication, flexibility, and trust in ourselves as new parents.
But it also gave us something bigger:
Perspective.
Connection.
Confidence.
We learned to meet our own needs too
and in doing so, we showed up better for her.
And the biggest realization?
She doesn’t need perfect conditions.
She just needs us.
A whole new world has opened 🤍
