LGBTQ+ Pride Month is currently celebrated each year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. The Stonewall Uprising was a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States.

As well as being a month long celebration, Pride month is also an opportunity to peacefully protest and raise political awareness of current issues facing the community.

We realize that it’s not enough to simply recognize and honor the contributions of the LGBTQ+ community when more work still needs to be done to build a fairer and equal society. We believe that we miss an important opportunity if we don't dedicate this moment to the progress yet to be made.

So we took this opportunity to make some internal changes!

According to the Brazilian Ministry of Health, in 2019 only about 1.6% of the Brazilian population donates blood, and the rate of effective organ donors is only 16.8 donors per million population.

Donors do an amazing thing when they donate. Without their kind generosity, many patients simply would not be alive today.
