While exploring Rio de Janeiro, keep an eye out for the spectacular Cannonball Tree (Couroupita guianensis). Its exotic flowers are not only incredibly beautiful, but also release a delightful fragrance that may remind you of jasmine. ✨

This tropical tree can be spotted around the city, adding an unexpected touch of color and perfume to a walk through Rio. Its remarkable flowers emerge directly from the trunk and branches, making it even more fascinating! 🌺

Rio is full of little surprises like this — sometimes, all you have to do is slow down, look around… and follow the scent. 💚

Christ the Redeemer remains open, but temporary changes will affect visits:

🔸 50% REDUCED CAPACITY
Expect longer lines, delays and increased waiting times, especially during peak season. In some cases, the visit may not be possible within the scheduled tour time.

♿ ACCESSIBILITY
The final section requires approximately 80 stone steps.
Visitors with reduced mobility can use staff-operated stair-climbing wheelchairs.

⚠️ Please note:
• Equipment is available only for standard-size wheelchairs.
• Stair-climbing equipment cannot operate during rain or when the stairs are wet.
• Standard wheelchairs may be available, but transfers must be assisted by a companion/family member.
