Pantanal Day is a tribute to the world’s largest tropical wetland, a biome that shelters over 650 bird species, 120 mammals, 250 fish species, and countless unique plants. The Pantanal is so vast that it expands and contracts seasonally, with up to 80% of its area submerged during the rainy season—creating spectacular landscapes and habitats for wildlife. 🐆✨ The 2025 season of the Pantanal River Cruise has officially kicked off, and excitement is in the air! Limited availability remains for the departure on September 21st, as all other dates are sold out. We are excited to announce our 2026 dates, with some already quickly booked for private groups.

The Pantanal River Cruise offers an exclusive experience that navigates diverse environments within the Grand Pantanal. Aboard a comfortable motor vessel with only 7 cabins, guests will cruise along the Paraguay and Cuiabá rivers, as well as the picturesque Amolar mountainous region, exploring three distinct nature reserves: Pantanal National Park, Meeting of the Waters State Park, and the Transpantaneira Park Road. This journey focuses on uncovering the area’s fascinating wildlife, including elusive jaguars, playful giant river otters, countless caimans basking on sandbars, and enchanting ‘Victoria Regia’ giant water lilies, along with thousands of bird species that call this wild South American sanctuary home.

We are thrilled to announce that 2025 is already shaping up to be an historic year for welcoming international visitors to Brazil!

As Marcelo Freixo, President of Embratur, puts it: “No country in the world has experienced such significant growth in the arrival of tourists.”

The numbers speak for themselves:
📈 In the first quarter of 2025, Brazil welcomed a record-breaking 4,425,888 foreign tourists – an incredible 51% increase compared to the same period last year!
☀️ And April continued this amazing trend, with 686,239 foreign arrivals, marking a massive 72% growth compared to April 2024!

This sustained increase month after month is making 2025 truly unprecedented. These figures are from the Ministry of Tourism, Embratur, and the Federal Police.
