🇧🇷 Dentre tantos pontos na Avenida Paulista, o edifício da Fundação Cásper Líbero se destaca por fazer parte da memória e cotidiano de quem frequenta a região. Essa é a 5ª sede do jornal Gazeta, com projeto do engenheiro José Carlos de Figueiredo Ferraz, responsável por diversas outras obras, como o metrô de São Paulo e as torres da Catedral da Sé. O projeto inicial era audacioso, prevendo 220 metros de altura e 72 andares e ficou conhecido na imprensa como “Uma luz sobre SãoPaulo”. Entretanto, problemas diversos fizeram com que o projeto original fosse modificado e hoje o edifício, que ocupa 68 mil m² possui apenas 14 andares. Sua grandiosidade foi recuperada com a instalação da antena, em 1983, em parceria com a rede Globo. Do alto de 85 metros, foi a primeira antena iluminada do país!
🇬🇧Among the many landmarks on Paulista Avenue, the Cásper Líbero Foundation building stands out for being part of the memory and daily life of those who frequent the area. This is the 5th headquarters of the Gazeta newspaper, designed by engineer José Carlos de Figueiredo Ferraz, responsible for several other works, such as the São Paulo subway and the towers of the Sé Cathedral. The initial project was audacious, envisioning a height of 220 meters and 72 floors, and became known in the press as “A light over São Paulo”. However, various problems led to modifications to the original project, and today the building, which occupies 68,000 m², has only 14 floors. Its grandeur was recovered with the installation of the antenna in 1983, in partnership with Globo network. At a height of 85 meters, it was the first illuminated antenna in the country!
