Set on the bay side of Harbour Island, King’s Crown feels like a private resort. With eight ensuite bedrooms, it balances space and privacy for big groups, retreats, or multiple family trips.

A showpiece 75 foot lap pool anchors the outdoor living areas, alongside a hot tub and wide bay views. Indoors, you’ll find spaces to gather, with open common areas plus a rec room for downtime, so the home works as well for connection as it does for escape.

King’s Crown also includes a private fitness room for guests who want to keep up with their routine while away. Daily housekeeping is included, adding another layer of ease to the stay.

King’s Crown is also available for Christmas Week from December 19 to 26, giving families and friends the chance to spend the holiday together on Harbour Island.

When you’re ready to explore, you’re on one of the Bahamas’ most iconic islands, with easy access to Pink Sands Beach and the shops and restaurants of Dunmore Town.

These are the kinds of escapes we love facilitating for guests who book with The Good Life Bahamas.

The perfect day at Sandy Cay would include a boat ride with close family and freinds , a picnic, floaties, and a few chairs you don’t mind putting right in the water.

Head out early if the tide and weather are right. Unpack some fruit, sandwiches, and cold drinks or cocktails, then do absolutely nothing in particular.

Walk the long stretches of white sand. Find a shallow pool to sit and chat in. Float in the clear water, play in the sand, or, where the current is gentle and your captain says it’s safe, drift along one of the little tidal channels.

It’s a wonderful experience for families. When conditions are calm, some of the sandbanks are surrounded by shallow, clear water where little ones can splash and play with close adult supervision. You don’t need an elaborate itinerary. Just a few hours together in one of the most extraordinary places in The Bahamas.

And here’s what makes Sandy Cay even more interesting: it never looks quite the same.

The tides reveal and cover the sand, while waves and currents gradually reshape it. One visit might give you a broad white beach, and the next a string of little islands and pools. This is also the area used to film the famous buried-chest scene in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.

Getting the timing right matters. Some sandbars disappear at higher tide, and shifting shallows and tidal currents make the approach tricky. That’s why we recommend visiting with a captain who knows these waters, especially if you’re bringing children.

For this trip, we were based at Foster Hill, a collection of five vacation rentals around a private marina in Hartswell, Great Exuma, overlooking Moriah Harbour Cay National Park.

Imagine waking up at Ballymena… One of the four Foster Hill homes. A true beachfront villa with five ensuite bedrooms, it sleeps up to ten for an easy Bahamas vacation with family or friends.

Outside is built for relaxed island days. An infinity edge pool appears to meet the sea, there is an outdoor jacuzzi, a private sandy beach just steps away, a shaded gazebo, and kayaks and paddle boards so you can explore calm, clear water at your own pace.

Indoors, the fully equipped kitchen supports simple meals or full dinner spreads, and the dining areas make gathering straightforward after a day on the water. On request, the team can arrange services like a private chef, massage, and boat tours to keep the trip seamless.

Ballymena is available for Christmas Week from December 19 to 26, giving families and friends the chance to spend the holiday together in Great Exuma.

The location is practical for a Bahamas vacation. Ballymena sits in Foster Hill in Hartswell, about 20 minutes from George Town for groceries, dining, and boat charters. The community is tucked in the Moriah Harbour area, with private marina convenience and quick access to Exuma’s calm, shallow flats.

Nearby highlights include Stocking Island for beaches, blue hole and coral garden snorkeling, and friendly stingrays by Chat and Chill, plus the sandbanks and sheltered channels of Moriah Harbour Cay National Park for kayaking and paddle boarding.

These are the kinds of escapes we love facilitating for guests who book with The Good Life Bahamas.

Comment "WENCH'S VIEW" for booking info!

Wench's View is a private hilltop estate on Tilloo Cay in Abaco, surrounded by panoramic views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Sea of Abaco. The estate can host up to 20 guests across 9 rooms and 10 beds, making it an incredible option for families and larger groups traveling together.

The published rate includes accommodations for up to 12 guests. Groups of up to 20 can be accommodated with an additional per person, per night fee for each guest above 12.

One of the standout features is the private dock, which can accommodate a vessel up to 80 feet plus a tender. A shaded over water bar, rope swing, and diving board turn the dock into another place for the group to spend the day.

Up the hill, a private pool and pool house overlook the crystal clear water, while plenty of indoor and outdoor lounging areas give everyone space to gather or find a quiet corner of their own.

Wench's View is also available for Thanksgiving Week from November 21 to 28, giving families and friends the chance to spend the holiday surrounded by water views, boating, pool days, and the slower pace of Tilloo Cay.

When you are ready to explore, historic Hope Town, its iconic lighthouse, and the shores of Tahiti Beach are just a quick boat ride away.

These are the kinds of escapes we love facilitating for guests who book with The Good Life Bahamas.

Just off Little Exuma, these enormous stretches of white sand appear in the middle of turquoise water, then change shape and seemingly disappear as the tide comes in.

Waves and currents keep moving the sand, while the changing water level reveals different ridges, pools, and little islands. No two visits feel quite the same. A wide beach one afternoon might be a narrow strip of sand the next.

And there’s a little movie history here, too. The sandbanks near Sandy Cay, also known as White Cay, were used in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, including the scene where the famous chest is dug up.

The best way to enjoy this place is to do very little.

Walk barefoot across the sand. Float in the shallows. Drift, talk, take pictures, play with the kids, or just sit in the water with your favorite people. With the right conditions, it can feel like you have an entire little world to yourselves.

Getting there is part of the adventure, but it’s not a trip to improvise. The sandbanks are shallow and constantly changing, with narrow routes, shifting tides, and weather that can affect the crossing. A great visit depends on arriving with the right tide, sunlight, and sea conditions.

That’s why we connect our guests with trusted, vetted local captains who know these waters and can plan the trip around the conditions, rather than simply following a pin on a map.

For this adventure, we were based at Foster Hill, a collection of five vacation rentals around a private marina in Hartswell, Great Exuma, overlooking Moriah Harbour Cay National Park.

Marina House is part of the Foster Hill collection, made up of five distinct vacation homes nestled side by side around a private marina. The marina connects the homes into a shared sense of place, with your boat docked just outside and the ocean always within reach. With multiple houses in the collection, you can accommodate larger groups while still giving everyone their own private space.

Located in Hartswell, Great Exuma, just 15 minutes south of George Town, Marina House sits on half an acre overlooking the private marina and Moriah Harbour. It sleeps up to 12 guests with 6 ensuite bedrooms, 8 beds, and 6.5 bathrooms. The layout includes spacious shared living areas alongside private bedroom spaces, making it a great fit for large families, multiple couples, or groups of friends traveling together.

The home was designed with entertaining in mind. Two refrigerators, two dishwashers, an ice machine, a fully equipped kitchen, and several indoor lounging areas make hosting a large group easy. Outside, a shaded pergola offers dining for 12, perfect for family dinners after a day exploring the Exumas. Cleaning and laundry services are available, and we can also help arrange private chefs, massages, and boat tours.

Outside is where Marina House really shines. You have a private swimming pool, outdoor jacuzzi, beautiful marina views, and a secluded sandy beach just steps away. The private boat slip makes it especially convenient for guests who want to rent a boat and explore Moriah Harbour Cay National Park.

From here, you’re just minutes by boat from the famous Cut, mangrove tidal creeks, disappearing sandbanks, secluded beaches, and some of the best shallow-water experiences in Exuma. Or spend the afternoon paddleboarding, swimming, fishing from the dock, and enjoying the peaceful marina.

One of our favorite afternoon activities at Foster Hill is heading across the harbour to the sandbanks of Moriah Harbour Cay National Park.

This is one of those places that changes every time you visit.

Tidal water flows through the cuts and channels around Moriah Harbour Cay, carrying fine, pale limestone sand. As the water moves across the shallower flats, sand gets shifted and deposited into long, bright-white banks.

At low tide, some emerge like little islands in the middle of the sea. When the tide rises, they can shrink or disappear underwater.

That constant movement is exactly what makes them so beautiful. One minute you're wading ankle-deep with turquoise water in every direction. A few hours later, the landscape looks completely different.

These sandbanks have even become popular settings for intimate destination weddings. Couples can exchange vows surrounded by turquoise water, with little more than the Exuma horizon in the background.

But getting here takes some care.

The same shifting sand that creates these banks can make boating tricky. Shallow patches and channels change with the tide, and a route that was clear on one trip may not be safe on the next.

Take it slowly, check conditions, follow national park boating rules, and go with an experienced local captain if you don't know the area.

Foster Hill is a collection of five vacation homes surrounding a private marina in Hartswell, Great Exuma, directly facing Moriah Harbour Cay National Park.

From here you can explore sandbanks, mangrove tidal creeks, the famous Cut, and secluded beaches without turning every adventure into an all-day excursion.

It's one of our favorite ways to spend a Bahamas afternoon. Boat over, step into the shallow water, float a while, and enjoy a landscape that might look completely different tomorrow.

Inside, the great room brings retro surfer style to life with vintage sofas, bold wallpaper, and a gallery of Bahamian and international art. Outside, the 1984 VW "bubble-gum pink" bus has been refitted as a private food-truck bar with a grill and wok burner, perfect for casual poolside meals.

The home is solar powered during the day, with a backup generator and reverse osmosis system for reliable comfort. The bedroom lineup fits families and groups well, including a primary suite with an outdoor bath and shower plus kid-friendly spaces like the Surfer Girl room and a bunk room.

It sleeps up to 8 guests with 4 rooms, 4 bathrooms, and 6 beds, giving families and groups plenty of space without losing that relaxed, shared vacation feel.

The moment you walk in, the water becomes the backdrop. Indoor and outdoor living and dining spaces make it easy to spend most of the day together, and the fully equipped kitchen works just as well for quick breakfasts as it does for full group dinners.

It works especially well for groups who want a peaceful home base but still want easy access to adventure. Spend the morning exploring by kayak or boat, come back for lunch by the pool, then finish the day on the beach.

For a Great Exuma vacation with private water access, a pool, plenty of space, and Moriah Harbour right nearby, Surf House is an easy one to recommend.

One of the biggest challenges when vacationing in The Bahamas is discovering all the little places that make these islands so special.

You can spend an entire week here and never realize that some of the most incredible experiences were just a short boat ride away.

That's a big part of why we started The Good Life.

We want to connect travelers with the people and places we've come to know growing up in The Bahamas. Trusted local captains and guides who can introduce you to experiences that aren't always on the typical tourist itinerary.

Take this little beach we discovered while boating from Hartswell toward Sandy Cay, near Little Exuma.

It's an example of what's known as a "pocket beach."

Along rocky coastlines, small openings between limestone outcrops can collect sand carried by waves and currents. The surrounding rock helps trap that sand, creating tiny beaches hidden within an otherwise rugged shoreline.

Some are so small and tucked away that you could cruise right past without noticing them.

And that's part of what makes exploring Exuma so much fun!

For this trip, we were based out of Foster Hill, a collection of five vacation rentals surrounding a private marina in Hartswell, Great Exuma.

If experiences like this are what you want for your next family vacation, send us a message!

Tell us your group size, budget, and what kind of adventures interest you.

We'll help you find the right Bahamas vacation rental and connect you with trusted local guides who know how to find these places and explore them safely.

Our goal is to help you experience the Bahamas beyond what you would typically find on a booking platform.

There's so much more out here than most visitors ever get to see.
